This long-eared hare was found after living to the ripe old age of 5! The largest found in the Mojave Desert, standing tall at 2 feet 5 inches and weighing a whopping 8 pounds! Black-tailed jackrabbits are cousin’s to rabbits but have longer ears to help keep them cool in hot temperatures!
